Plant #1 - Sansevieria

Also called 'mother-in-law's tongue' as the are long and sharp, these plants are the easiest to maintain and require minimal care. The plants need indirect sun light and need to be watered only when the soil is completely dry. Depending on the weather conditions these plants need to be watered once in 8 to 12 days. Do not water the plant if it is likely to be damp near the roots as it is prone to root rotting.


Plant #2 - Monstera

These are easy to maintain plants indoors or in semi-shade areas. Choose a deep pot with good drainage to remove excess water. Water the plants regularly every one to two weeks and wait till excess water drains out of the drainage holes while watering.

ZZ plants are easy to grow as they don't need to be watered for long periods of time. Depending on the weather, watering them once in 3 to 5 weeks is sufficient. They are hardy plants and can survive on minimal sunlight. Wipe the leaves once in a while to ensure they are dust free for better photosynthesis.


Plant #4 - Spider Plant

These are low light plants and require minimal indirect sunlight. They need light watering once in 7 to 10 days depending on the weather. One way to check if they need watering is to dip your fingers into the soil up to the second knuckle and if it's damp it does not need to be watered.

Plant #5 - Pothos

These are easy to care plants that tolerate light well. While indoors they can still be placed in window ledges where sunlight exposure for a few hours daily. However, excess sunlight may cause discolouring of leaves. Run water till it starts draining out of the drain holes and ensure the water is drained out completely to avoid root rot.
